2012 ASACIC Golf Outing
The Autism Society of America Central Illinois Chapter (ASACIC) is
holding the 8th Annual ASACIC Golf Classic at Lincoln Greens Golf Course in
Springfield, Illinois. Last year, ASACIC raised over $15,000 that benefited
individuals with Autism and their families in Central Illinois. The proven
success of this outing has led us to do it again on Friday, May 18, 2012!
Through the generosity of our many supporters, ASACIC was able to
conduct the Camp ASPIRE social skill building program last summer, provide ABA
in-home intensive training programs, hold support group meetings in various
locations throughout our service area, advocate for special education and
insurance coverage of spectrum-related treatments, offer training workshops,
fund the Blake Penner Memorial Grant which offers stipends up to $300 per family
for any service that benefits a family with a member on the spectrum, and host
many social events such as our annual “Evening at the Zoo”, movie outings, and
swimming at Fusion Fitness (Hillsboro) and the Taylorville YMCA. Your help is
needed to keep these programs running, especially as the prevalence rate of
autism increases. s.
We are a 501c3 organization (non-profit) and operate solely on
fundraisers, donations and the time and effort of our volunteers. Our goal is to
continue to support the autism community of Central Illinois with the above
mentioned programs as well as many others that are in development by our board.
Only through your generosity can we provide these services or modifications that
truly make a difference in the lives of families who otherwise live in such
restricted environments, that even going to the grocery store is a difficult
task. All proceeds from this event are used exclusively in Central Illinois.
There are several ways you can help:
If you have any questions, please contact
